He want you to try out the game. He calls you to his lab, and show you how to play. After that, he gives you a deck and wants you to become a master at this game. He has 3 decks or you to choses from. Each of them has a starting Pokemon in it, they're Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander. If names of people/places are wrong, they'll be fix when the english version comes out. 1)You have to keep fighting to get new cards. 2)Adjust your deck's cards as you go along your journey. 3)Always save your game where ever you go. Your journey starts at the middle of the island. You go to Pro. Oak's lab after you start the game. Pro. Oak introduce you to Mika (?). You play your first game with him. He tells you what to do so just follow him. After you beat him (you always do), Pro. Oak tells you to chose a deck. There are 3 decks here, each of them has a starting Pokemon in them. One has Squirtle, the other has Charmander, and the other one has Bulbasaur. Chose anyone you want because it just doesn't matter. Go to the Thunder Gym to get you first badge. When you first go inside, battle the guy at the left side first because he's the easiest to beat. After you beat every player, he/she gives you 2 booster packs. Try to get a better deck before you go on to the next. Fight him about 2-3 times to get more card for now. When you get enough cards to make deck 1 (see deck section to find out what's deck 1), Go on and fight the next player at the right side of the room. The Girl in the middle is the hardest to beat out of all 3. After you beat the all three players about 2 times, is time to get your first badge. The Gym Leader should not be hard to beat. Beat him and get Electric Badge. Your next destination is the Stone Gym. You can get some better cards at this Gym. Really, it doesn't matter where you are, what matter is that what booster packs you get, but if you want rare cards like Mewtwos, you'll have to fight a lot just to get one. The first Mewtwo I ever got was from the 4 Gym Leader. You don't have to fight the other players before you fight the Gym Leader, if you got the stuff, go straight for him. The chance you can beat him is 50-50%. I suggest you beat the other player in the Gym first since you'll need the new cards. If you're with me, then I suggest you have Deck 3 to beat him easily. After you beat him you get a Stone Badge and 2 Boosters. By now, you should have a pretty good deck and at least 200+ cards. Now go to the Water Gym. Here you'll find players with decks that has a LOT of Horsea. If order to fight the Leader you must talk to the Guy that's stopping from going to the Leader. When you go past him without beating him, you will get stopped. Beat the Leader and get Water Badge from her. More coming... ------------ 5) CardDex ------------ This section is like a Pokedex. It tells you what number card they are. What moves the Pokemon has, resistance, and things like that. This is also the card list (what Pokemon cards are in the game), since there is no number for the cards. *** POKEMONS THAT I'M NOT SURE ABOUT WILL NOT BE LISTED BELOW UNTIL THEN*** Legend: C - Colorless E - Electric F - Fire G - Fighting L - Grass/Leaf P - Psychic W - Water Example: --------------------------------- #001 Bulbasaur - Number/Name of Pokemon Type: Grass - Type of Pokemon HP: 40 - HP LV: 13 - Level of Pokemon Length: 2'4'' - Size of Pokemon Weight: 15 Lbs - Weight fo Pokemon Stage: Basic - Stage of Pokemon Kind: Common - how rare is the Pokemon Retreat Cost: 1 - Retreat cost Weakness: Fire - weakness Resistance:None - Resistance Series: Base - Which set is the Pokemon from Attack: - attack (s) L L Leech Seed - attack name 20 - damages Unless all damage from - description this attack is prevented, you may remove 1 damage counter for Bulbasaur. ---------------------------------- The Attacks for a Pokemon, is like the real card. So that I don't have to type what deck you should have everytime. Instead, you can just look it up here. Deck 1. You should have 2 main types of Pokemon and Normal Pokemon in a deck. It doesn't have to have water and fighting type in deck one but it's just an example of how deck 1 should be. I suggest deck 1 throughout the game because it's the basic deck. Ex. Water + Fighting + Normal. Deck 2. Has 2 main types of Pokemon in the deck. Add Normal type Pokemon to it if you what to. Pokemon in deck should be stronger then deck 1's. Ex. Fire + Leaf & maybe Normal Deck 3. Has 1 or 2 type of Pokemon in it. This deck is good to fight against Gym Leaders. Chose the type of Pokemon that has a resistance aganist that player or gym leader. ---------------- 7) Deck Strategy ---------------- This section will tell you how to make the basic decks, how to make advance decks, how to make type decks, etc. Basic Deck: A basic deck needs Pokemon, trainer, Energy Cards only. The good thing about it is that a basic deck is fairly good against any decks. This is how a bacis deck should have: 24 - 28 Pokemons 5 - 8 Trainer Cards 27 - 30 Energy Cards You can switch those cards around as long as you have 60 cards in one deck. Advance Deck: A advance deck is a deck with stronger and better cards and Pokemon in it. When a advance deck is used incorrectly, it's useless. These are the card I found the most useful. 20 Pokemons 12 Trainer Cards 28 Energy Cards The deck is only good for experience players. Type Deck: What I call a type deck is a deck that only has a certain type of pokemons in it. The bad thing about the deck is that when you face a player that has resistance against your Pokemons, you're basically screwed. But the good thing about it is that you will ALWAYS get the right energy card for your Pokemons. --------------- 8) Killer Decks --------------- These decks are sent to me by deck creators. If you think you have a deck that should be posted on here, sent it to me via e-mail at mewpoke1@xoommail.com Your deck will and only be post if you meet these conditions: 1) Must have a name for your killer deck. 2) Must be 60 cards. ----------------------------------- Name: Psychic Flame Creator: Sid803 (Not a name, but it's best I can do.)
